|
| How do I apply? |
|
Once you have browsed the Appointments section, click on the Reference Number for the particular position you wish to apply for. An e-mail message will open up. Attach a copy of your CV in WORD format.
|
| What if I have not got a
current CV? |
|
You can either prepare one or you can complete the online form, this form will be entered into a sub-sectioned electronic database for future reference.
|
| How do I know my CV has been
received? |
Unfortunately the only feasible method to do this is via an auto-reply. As this will risk breaching your confidentiality we have elected not to utilise it
|
| What happens after I send my
CV to you? |
The Specialist Desk Consultant will review the CV and will revert to you, if you are found suitable. If not suitable for the vacancy, your CV will be retained in the data bank for future reference.
|
| Should I call to follow up my
application? |
There is no need. In fact it is counter-productive and impacts negatively on our consultants valuable time. We will call you if you meet our clients criteria
|
| How long does the recruitment
process take? |
This is dependent on several issues. Firstly, the clients' deadline, though this will usually be adjusted to accommodate the availability of the best qualified candidate. Placement for local vacancies can be immediate or take up to two months. International recruitment usually sees the candidate in place between three to four months. Visa applications and attestation of certificates can slow the process down tremendously so ensure that all your documentation is in order should you be selected.
|
| Should I apply if my salary
expectation is more than what you have advertised? |
Yes. The salary is usually an indication and can vary depending on the kind of skills and experience a candidate can bring on to the position. Please mention your expectations and provide us with a justification so that we can evaluate your CV with this information in mind.
|
| Are there any registration
fees involved? |
No
|
| What are my chances of
gaining employment through your organisation? |
There are no guarantees, the fact that SOS is a search and recruitment consultancy and not a personnel agency means that for commercial reasons our focus is on the clients requirements. We are in the business of identifying the best candidate for the job and not vice versa. Having said this we are continuously updating our database and hence welcome applications from caliber candidates whose areas of expertise co-incide with our specialist desk recruitment philosophy. Please see the appointment sectors on our web page.
|
| Even though I do not reside
in the Middle East, will my application still be considered? |
Your application will be considered if you are in line with the clients requirements. However the client might stipulate that they are only interested in candidates from the Middle East with local knowledge and experience.
|
| Do I get a registration
number? |
No, you do not get a registration number from us.
|
| How often is the appointments
page updated? |
| We update the Appointments section weekly by noon on Saturday. |
